Transport of raw materials<\/h3>\n

One company is responsible for the supply of products from both Spain and the Netherlands, namely De Bleek Transport. This supplier is cheap and fast, but sometimes (particularly in the case of transports from Spain) a day too late. This delay is compensated by a buffer stock kept in the warehouse in Woerden. The transport company has 20 trucks while serving 30 customers. Mr. De Bleek is intending to double the number of trucks, so that in the future the deliveries will be quicker and more reliable.<\/p>\n

Transport production<\/h3>\n

Bicsma itself also owns 9 big lorries and 3 smaller transport waggons for the distribution of its products. However, it is becoming harder and harder to supply customers in the city centres. Moreover, driving in the city is very time-consuming. For this reason, Bicsma is looking for alternatieve ways of supplying its customers at these locations.<\/p>\n
